Midgard Serpent Seax KN20-007
This piece features a Damascus steel blade that is 6 1/2 inches long. Also known as pattern welded steel it consists of 416 layers of alternating 5160, 15N20 and Ni2000 steels hardened to RC60. The Handle is hand carved white-tailed deer antler depicting the Norse Midgard serpent. His name reads “Jörmangandr” in old futhark runes running along his body. It is a classic seax style blade common in the early middle ages. The overall length is 11 1/2 inches.
